Patio on the backyard.
It was old patio with foundation with 2'x2' bricks on it. They were removed and foundation was clean.
We cut stones and installed them.
I don't have final picture, but I'll add it soon

After long, long time...
After such a long silence I'm posting something.
I was wondering, should I just keep my portfolio and all pics at my original web site : www.finetilework.com , or do both blog and site.
I will keep posting here and you all free to ask questions and post your comments.
Also I will ask my clients to help build my reference list here.

My site is not working, I was changing my hosting package and FTP program didn't backup properly, need to do it again...

About me (intro)
Hi, my name is Oleg.
I'm 32 years old, I have family, I am happy with my family and I am happy with my job.
I study architecture, civil engineering, but that was long time ago and me experience is changed.
I worked in Estonia, Russia and Finland, now I am here in US, in Washington DC area.
Working on the field is very interesting. I had crew of 25 workers, building 4 houses at one time, dealing with clients, ordering all mats and making schedule for all team...
Then it was a time for office. Estimates, blueprints, AutoCAD, paper and pencil ...
Construction is very big process of thousands little actions, and every action is done by human.
You can be a boss, or helper, but you must do something to finish a project.
There are many professions, everyone can find something interesting.
I do mostly residential construction, cuz I like it. I tried commercial, but i didn't like.
Mostly, I do interior remodeling: bathrooms, kitchens, attics, basements . I also work outside: decks, siding, roofing, doors, windows, patios and more. In six years I've learned a lot of skills and "teacher to student" tricks.
Why I created this blog? Why do I write all that?
I hope to find people, who is curious how to do it yourself, how to calculate price of job, to learn something new and how to safe money on the project.
Of course, I hope to find people who will share their secrets with other and we will learn something we don't know.
